Aromas Boutique Bakery offers custom cakes, catering and corporate gifts. Founded by sister duo Jo-Ann and Chef Eileen Barrett, Aromas is committed to all natural food and a great experience for its customers.
From, 2004 when the sisters first ventured into the food industry they have offered custom food programs, catering and a wonderful array of desserts including gluten free, sugar free and vegan options.
Chef Eileen is classically trained and holds a Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management degree from the Art Institute of New York. Both Chef Eileen and Jo-Ann hold Bachelor’s degrees from Tufts University.
Eileen is a seasoned chef with experience spanning private and corporate clients. During her 10 years as a chef, Eileen has cooked for Manhattan’s most refined palettes and has baked and catered for JetBlue, American Airlines, William Harper Jeweler, The Art of Hospitality and MANE USA. Chef Eileen is a brilliant culinary chemist and self trained flavorist, having worked with top flavor and fragrance companies and created specialities for our aromatics collection like the Szechuan lavender Brownie.
A unexpected introduction led Jo-Ann to the world of hospitality. Traveling the country for Expo International and later Crimson Brown Associates, she returned to her native New York City to do contract work for the US Events and Motivation Team at Avon. She and her sister teamed up and dove into world of food. Always the artist, Jo-Ann became a self taught cake designer and is the master of Aromas’ most creative cakes, menus and gifts. Jo-Ann brings a keen eye for detail to Aromas.
